I’ve been using Fusion since version 17, and v21.1.2 is the most stable yet. The node-based interface can feel a bit confusing at first, but once you understand its flow, the workflow is much more flexible than a layer-based one. You can import 3D models from Blender or Maya straight into the scene.
Fusion and DaVinci Resolve work together seamlessly, so you can move projects between them without hassle. Don’t have DaVinci Resolve Studio yet? It already includes the basic version of Fusion, so you can edit and composite in one application. But for more advanced VFX work, this standalone Fusion Studio is the right choice.
If you’ve been using Adobe After Effects, Fusion is a node-based alternative worth trying. After Effects excels at motion graphics, while Fusion is stronger in compositing and 3D integration. If installation gives you trouble, it usually just needs an up-to-date Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable.

Steps to Install Blackmagic Fusion Studio on Your PC:
- Download BMFS2112.rar and extract it with WinRAR or 7-Zip.
(Password: “yasir252.dewamaju89.workers.dev”) - Open folder 1 and run Install Fusion Studio v21.1.2.exe.
- Copy BMD Fusion Universal Patcher.exe and Patches.txt from folder 2 into :
– C:\Program Files\Blackmagic Design\Fusion\ - Run BMD Fusion Universal Patcher.exe as Administrator.
- If you use Render Node, download BMRN2112.rar as well.
- The rest is exactly the same. Just launch Fusion Studio.
